Deer

Boy am I lucky.

Hit a deer the other night on a remote country road.
Saw it in the headlights at the last second, just about Censored meself and hit the brakes.
The deer was starting to turn away and I hit it a glancing blow. Made a noise like someone booting the front of the car really hard. By the time I turned around there was no sign of it.

Checked the front once in the garage lights and guess what? Only damage was the spotlamp surround had popped out.

Pushed it back in and all was well!

Bet that deer's got a headache though.

Road kills, especially venison are no good. They need to be bleed instantly for a start and the meat round the strike area is wasted, despite all this, it's illegal to pop them in the boot, unless you dont get caught that is.

Nearly the exact same thing, pheasant at 60mph, spotlamp surround popped out, no other damage to the car or pheasant it appears, perhaps the surrounds are on the airbag circuit Laughing . I was only wrong once and thats when I thought I was but wasnt.
