I think I have read on here the dealers charges are well in excess of £500, the dedicated wiring alone is around £250 on top of the bar. |

Holy S are you sure? I may have to wait for the warranty to run out or insist on the dedicated wiring loom that can be disconnected at a later time if a problem occurs. If a non main dealer fits the Tow Bar using the dedicated wiring does it need to go back to LR for a software update??? Thanks, |

You can pick them up cheaper second hand, you will only need a visit to the dealer if you fit the dedicated wiring harness, all the dealer does is tell it that it has a towbar fitted and on plugging in the 12N plug the Rear Parking Sensors, Rear Fogs on your Freelander are turned off and you will have the Trailer indicator light in the display.
