UNDERSEAL

Now that winter has arrived in UK, I have been thinking about undersealing
my GS. My previous FL2 was starting to rust under the front especially, after
only 3 years. Has anyone done it/had it done on their vehicle? and if so what
did you use.

I wouldn't have thought it was necessary, but interested to see comments.

I wouldn't have thought it necessary either. The paintwork is covered by a 3 year warranty and the bodywork for 6 years in respect of rusting through. Did you claim off the warranty when rust appeared? I am new to LR and do think 6 years is a bit mean when compared to other manufacturers but even so rust after 3 years is a serious issue which i would be taking up with LR.

Underseal is a thing of the past. Bitumen underseal causes more corrosion than it prevents, hardens, cracks and allows salt/water to be trapped. Seen too many MOT fails in years gone by.

New vehicles are well protected and any additional treatments would affect anti corrosion warranty. All FL2's (3) Gone
