Car wouldn't Start

I went to start car this morning and not enough battery power to turn the engine. Land Rover assist arrived after 4 hr wait. Battery was down to 11v it appears the back-up alarm was faulty and has been putting lights on intermittently when lights left on auto. This was listed as a known fault. The back up alarm has been removed now so hopefully she will start ok tomorrow. So trip to stealers on Monday, was told it is 5 min job to fit replacement.

What's a 'backup alarm'?
In these temperatures, a battery that is approaching the end of its serviceable life will let you down. Get them to do a battery health check while at the dealers.

Landrover Assist did check on battery. I should have said "back up alarm battery" which is located alongside the main battery and provides a the alarm if the main battery is disconnected or cables cut.

The temperature was only -2C.

Car started ok this morning. Very Happy

This is a known fault and one of the symptoms (apart from the end result of the car failing to start) is the headlights that are set to 'Auto' coming on during bright sunshine.
The car fails to start and on ours they replaced that battery back up on the alarm and the main battery for good measure.

No problems since Thumbs Up Discovery Sport Hse Lux, Santorini Black, Ivory Leather Interior, Factory Privacy Glass, removable tow bar.
