Who is on about adding value to a car? Nothing you do to a call will actually increase it's value, some addtions will make it more desirable to a buyer maybe. I am not doing it to increase it's value. Just because I enjoy this sort of thing.
Thanks Tenet! I can
How many FL2 owners actually go off road. If fact how amny midsized SUV owners take their cars off road. Probably a very very small amount. But you are in no position to say that Maybe I have bought the wrong car, just because I may not take it off road.
Thanks Nick, well said. Adding the bodykit will not effect the versatility of my car 1% based on what I use it for.
Soooo, what are you saying about me then? Don't get me wrong, I have not taken offence to what you have said, but it is a very broad statement. I run a Vauxhall Signum on a day to day basis, and I have probably spent over £5000 on it to get it how I want it. But those with an un trained eye would not notice anything, but those who have a trained eye will see and appreciate it for what it is. But that does'nt mean I fall into the catagory your suggesting.
I ask you this question, I don't like cross overs which are jacked up estate cars. They seem totally pointless to me, but you don't know my personal circumstances. Yes I know the FL2 is amazing off road, but it is the best car for what we need. I bought the Freelander 2 HSE as I could afford the to buy the best in class, simple as that, but I am sure the marketing guys at Land Rover do not put these things as options if they looked crap. When ever I modify or enhance my cars, very rarley do I use anything but manufaturers parts.
Nick for President!!!!! You are absolutly right.
Thats a fair point CG. If mine had not got leather, then I would have had the leather added, My last 7 every day cars for work have had leather re-trims and pretty much got most of the money back when selling it as it was more desirable. At least the addition of the kt is totally reversable.
But if I take it off road, it gets dirty, and thats totally against my belief's. It sends a shiver down my spine to even think about getting mud on it. Freelander 2 HSE Lux 2013MY - Barolo Black with Ivory Leather. Alpine DVD - Privacy -Evoque 20" Dynamic Wheels and more to come......... |

So leather holds its value, but body kits dont. (what about spending your cash on a leather body kit, preferably with someone tasty inside )

If the truth is known the fl2 is a car not an off-road machine , so I dont care what people do with theirs, go off road and the car gets mucky that is a pain in the arse no mistake, you wouldnt buy new shoes then go fell walking so why should people use there fl2's off road.

I mow the verges around my farm entrance to keep things tidy and its very annoying when idiots drive on theses areas and ruin them .. mainly delivery drivers stopping to read a map or have a brew, or tourists stopping for a quaint picnic as cars drive past blowing exhaust fumes at them . Sometimes they get stuck and wander into the farmyard to ask for a tractor tow, I make then call a recovery firm

I agree with you, but there is also a difference between not affording them and not wanting them. I would imagine anybody that can afford a FL2 HSE can afford any extras he wants, so "extras" being too expensive is a hypothetical question 2007 Freelander 2 HSE TD4 Manual with Premium Pack & Moonroof.
