Can anyone shed any light on the intermitent speed setting for the front wiprers? I put them on and adjust the 'sensitivity' dial (if thats what its called) on the stalk but there is absolutely no difference in delay. Would have presumed that the dial alters amount of rain needed for the wipers to work? |

It is all explained on page 87-88 of your Owners Handbook However I think you have misunderstood what you call the "sensitivity dial" which is in fact the interval adjustment - again all explained in the handbook. 2007 Freelander 2 HSE TD4 Manual with Premium Pack & Moonroof. But it also adjusts the sensitivity. As you say it's all explained in the Handbook - p.88 "Rotate the control upwards to increase the sensitivity, and down to reduce the sensitivity." Bill |

The handbook is rather contradictory here I agree. On page 87 it states “The interval in between wipes can be adjusted to suit the conditions” which would seem to relate to time. On page 88 it refers to sensitivity, so presumably here it is relating to vehicles with a rain sensor. However I thought all FL2’s were fitted a rain sensor, so if this is the case the handbook seems a bit unclear. Although I use mine without really thinking what causes the intermittent wipe’s – it works fine though 2007 Freelander 2 HSE TD4 Manual with Premium Pack & Moonroof. Sorry but it's not. If there's only a very low amount of drizzle on high sensitivety the wipers still wipe quite quickly, while on low sensitivety they don't wipe at all. Those kind of drizzles don't need wiping. On the other hand, with light rain, low sensitivety seems to wipe too slow... Don't know the best setting yet as my wife always is turing on it so it's hard to get it wright. |
