The law of sod strikes, not a great time for haldex pump to fail. 4x2 just isn't ideal today.
New one ordered. Will get that sorted the see about the egr issue that's been Intermittent for the last few days. 😖

Are you sure its a pump failure, not a poor electrical connection or blocked screen filter.

FWIW when mine failed I got no dashboard warnings or error codes - just a dead pump on bench testing at Bell Engineering. Jules

No it's had the "gearbox fault traction reduced" message on the dash.
Reading the codes with my Autel showed p1889-15 pump pressure reduced (or something similar) which according to Autofaultfinder website is a symptom of a failing or failed pump.
I ordered a pump, filter and oil kit from Ebay yesterday which amazingly was delivered today.
Spent a few hours this evening crawling around on a cold garage floor removing the haldex unit, replacing pump and filter and rebuilding before filling with new oil.
Fault code gone, 4wd restored and a drive up our deeply snow covered lane and untreated rural road proving that terrain response working perfectly.
The egr fault message has not returned today so it's possibly going to be Intermittent, will have to get it sorted though. Landrover - turning owners into mechanics since 1948

Good work Bobupndown…..!
Nice when things go as they should….
Further to recent posts on Haldex servicing ……was the pump “gunged-up” or nice & clean ? Ditto the filter ?
Nice job…..

Yes - the classic wheelspin and a horrid bearing noise at speed - thought it was PTU spline failure , as did Bell Engineering.

Once on the ramps they took the PTU off and then realised that wasnt the cause - turned out to be a dead haldex pump and a failed front NS wheel bearing ! Jules

No it wasn't gunked up at all but I've serviced mine at least twice before. With filters and oil within the last 2 years, the oil which came out was brown rather than black. Landrover - turning owners into mechanics since 1948
