Hello. I've been trying to get some advice on my fault codes.

I have an autel reader and recently cleared everything then went for a drive. The following came up see pic. There were a few others about door locks and stuff but the ones circled are the ones I think are important.

I've tried to Google and I'm thinking it's a glow plug issue and the throttle body.

Any advice gratefully received though. Thanks!

Reason For P0380 Code
The reason of P0380 OBD-II Engine Trouble Code is Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent.

P02E1 OBD-II Diagnostic Powertrain (P) Trouble Code Description
P02E1 engine trouble code is about Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input.
Main reason For P02E1 Code
The reason of P02E1 OBD-II Engine Trouble Code is Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input.

P02E9 the main thing to check is to verify the operation of the VCT solenoid. You're looking for a sticking or stuck VCt solenoid valve caused by contamination. Refer to vehicle specific repair manual to perform component tests for the VCT unit.

It was a really cold morning and first start when I got those codes so I'm thinking I better go out and do it again on a warmer day. Its been struggling a bit to start and I've been meaning to fit the second earth strap that I've bought. Would that possibly underpower the glow plugs? I haven't been getting any engine warning lights.

Also wondering if a new crankshaft sensor might be a good starting point.

How old is your battery?

The FL2 is very dependant on a good power supply to all it's control units dotted around the vehicle, especially during the start-up/initialisation phase.

The first thing to look at is why it is struggling to start, the random codes may be connected if the battery is not at it's best.

If you still have multiple faults after sorting the battery out, try arranging them by the exact time they are registered, it may help to know what unit/sensor fails first, and make more sense. FL2 XS SD4 Auto 2010 2012-2017 (21k - 91k miles) (MY2011)

I actually thought the battery was newer. Its coming up for 2 years old in May.

Its a Lion 80ah one so not the most premium of batteries. Should still be ok though? That's why I've been wondering about the second earth strap that I've not got round to fitting yet.

A little update.

I've not fitted the second earth strap yet but the weather has generally been milder here. I've re-run the diagnostic a couple of times and the only codes that are sticking are Body Control Module ones and the Powertrain ones. P02E1 and P02E9.

These latter two seem to relate to a VCT solenoid that needs cleaning or replacing but I'm not having much luck searching for info on the forum. Anyone able to enlighten me or point me to a thread I've missed? Thanks!

A quick reminder that the FL2 is quite a complex machine and it is worthwhile checking the error codes to see what the FL2 itself thinks the problem is, before taking any other drastic or expensive action.
