Help neede to diagnose code P0748

Hi Folks
I have a 2007 SE TD Manual after sitting for a long while due to Lockdown the car is now showing a Transmission fault.
My code reader says its from the differential and gives P 0748 as the code. The interweb says this is an auto box fault.
I have tried to clear the fault but it returns on restarting the engine.
The car drives perfectly and does not go into limp mode.
can anyone make any useful suggestions please.

Probably due to low battery as you have not used the car for a while.

Leave the car overnight and hopefully the fault will have gone.

I thought the same.

Yes I thought the same but I have given it two fifty mile runs and it still has the problem.
I am baffled as to why I have an auto box problem code on a manual.

P0748 is relates to Pressure Control Solenoid A Electrical - circuit current out of range,

possible cause is "Differential Electronic Module (DEM) internal failure"

recommended action "Clear the DTC and re-test. Check and install a new Differential Electronic Module (DEM) as required"

This ^^

The better ones use the vehicle VIN for more specific results.

P0748 is a generic fault code which could mean any number of possible issues.

Thanks guys, fault code readers are difficult to trust given that many people recommended different ones.
I can’t remember what mine is called but it only works with Jaguar and Landrover, both companies owned by ford in 2007.
I had replaced the rear suspension arms during lockdown but did not disturb the diff in any way,I hope.
