That is not correct, JLR say not to copperslip the pads, they do lubricate the caliper guide pins, with the correct grease, not copperslip!

Update. Result. Applied the Girling grease to the pads and noise now gone. Will see how it performs when the car is off sorn and can be tested properly. Thanks to all for your responses and help.
