I think all Lego sets, such as the Defender and Bugatti etc all have a limited run period. 21MY Defender 90 S 3.0 D200

All Lego sets have a limited production, it’s just that some sets are discontinued earlier than others. For example, there are many versions of the Star Wars Millennium Falcon but not all of them are still available. The Saturn 5 that was produced to celebrate the 50th anniversary is shown as “retiring soon” in the USA so that will be unavailable soon. Un-opened retired models go for really silly money on flea bay.
