Helpful very helpful David Spray it with duck oil (other sprays are available) not the foot bit obviously Common sense isn't very common. _______________________________ 2007 Land Rover Freelander2 I6 hse Auto |

My 6 month old clutch pedal is creaking as though it’s from a 20 year old car when everything’s warmed up , I’ll ask the garage if they can do anything about it at the service next month |

Thanks for your help. How do you get to the brake pedal assembly? Do you have to remove the lower airbag and covers? Hope not if so I will just keep the radio up to mask the problem 😂 |

Two excellent tips here, forget the spraying with WD40/Duck Oil......that’ll just stop the squeaking Regards

According to the Freebie workshop manual (p 476) you need to disarm and remove the lower airbag to remove the brake peddle bracket. But it looks like it has a simple rod pivot so Id have thought you could try lubricating it first, assuming you can get to it from underneath - hence my suggestion of a spray via a thin tube. Jules |

Surely it would stop the squeaking but start quaking?
