Broken Spring

Huge 'bang' from rear of car on starting off. No apparent problem driving. BUT on inspection rear n/s spring coils are not 'right'.

I assume spring is broken. Have asked my mechanic to order a pair - seems sensible.

Anyone any thoughts, experiences, recommendations???

Never seen an issue with broken springs on the FL2, but it is common on some cars. Regards

David

It's good fun when you have a front one go on a Laguna at 90mph and it digs into the tyre wall.... Steve

just last week i had a service done and they pointed out I had a broken front spring, which explains the squeaking/ creaking noise I have had for a year now . . .

contemplating whether to go cheap for a new pair ie £38 or a bit dearer £ 62 a pair . . 2017 SEAT Ateca 4drive 2.0 xcellence (May 2022 -
