How to remove standard exhaust trims?

I have a pair of HST exhaust tips to fit on my i6, problem is I cannot find any method that the original tips secure to the pipe, it appears from the instructions that they “just remove rearwards”......yeah right.




Has anyone successfully removed original tips without damaging the exhaust pipe itself? Regards

Grub screws, small and easily missed, located on the top, hence not easily seen.
