No I have not noticed that in mine at all, mind you I have an auto so engine braking isn't the best anyway. |

I have a 2009 and my swirl flaps are there, but their "command" is already invalidated, therefore they are always open.

My FL2 is January 2010 build and the swirl flaps were present - now removed. Its fairly easy to check if you have a manifold that has them fitted.

I swapped my inlet manifold for one without swirl flaps (from a Peugeot 2008 if I remember correctly) last year at the same time as replacing fuel filter and glow plugs and I never noticed any reduction in engine braking afterwards. I wouldn't say that there wasn't any reduction, just that, if there were any, it wasn't enough for me to notice. |
