Get it done sharpish !

Mine was like that and then I had total engine cut out during an overtake on a B road. Luckily it was a dawdling learner otherwise it could have ended badly. I managed to coast in front of them and put my hazards on. FL2 HSE Auto Galway Green

As above, had same sort of issue with a Porsche last year, kept cutting out at crucial times otherwise drove great, in the end it turned out to be low pressure from the fuel pump.

I wouldn’t have minded too much but it was only four years old and two main dealers couldn’t find the solution until I dug up on the interweb a service action from Porsche about replacing fuel pumps due to low pressure.......and that’s at £150+ per hour Censored gotta love main dealers. Regards

David

Lovely i6 has now gone, but not me......

Please let me know if anything in my post offends you, as I may wish to offend you again......

Should have chance to fo it tomorrow then at least it will be one thing of the list of what could be the problem. I hate these type of faults that you just have to change things and hope to cure it. Sometimes I think it best to just let it totally breakdown and then fix the problem

When I had the cut out on overtake I got a Crankshaft Position Sensor fault code.

There is no low pressure fuel pump in the FL2 !

There is a transfer pump in the saddle tank and a HP pump up front that draws the fuel up from the tank.

FL1 has a LP fuel pump. FL2 HSE Auto Galway Green

Yes, I was referring to the HP pump (although mine was petrol obviously), the HP pump was not producing enough pressure thus restricting fuel to the engine. Regards

Thanks to this thread I have managed to fix the same issue I had. Crankshaft Position Sensor supplied by Duckworth's fitted today and like magic... all fixed.

Love this forum.
