2010 FL2 won’t start

Hi.
Lately I was having issues with starting the car. The key fob had to be inserted multiple times, before it got accepted. Today I got back from work and replaced headlight bulb. Started the car to check the lights, all ok.

After 2 hours I needed to go out. Car won’t start. When inserted the key fob, can hear the electronic knocking, but won’t start. On screen it has steering lock.

RAC came round, checked the battery, all ok. Computer shows fault p1259 immobiliser to pcm signal error.

Has anyone experienced and fixed similar issue?

Thanks

It sounds like the steering lock it’s fairly common, for me taking the plastic cover off the steering wheel and hitting the lock with a screwdriver and hammer sorted it out.

Also try wobbling the wheel around and if you can move the auto selector.

Morning.
Managed to get it started.
Moved to neutral , shakedown the steering wheel. Put it back in to P and it started.

Do I need to replace the steering lock module anyway?
