Interior Lights - How Long....

There's the general understanding that leaving an interior light on in the car for too long is a bad thing as it'll run down the battery. I've seen it mentioned on here a few times as a good reason for switching to LEDs.

However...

I often stop to read a book on my way to work (night shift) and now that it's dark in the evenings I've got to use my front interior light to see. The light will stay on for roughly 30 mins then switches off and won't come back on again (unsure how long for as I've always needed to head off).

Tonight I turned the light off before it went out itself but have just tried turning it back on again and it won't come on. Nor will the back one.

The stereo clock is still lit so there is power. The battery is only a couple of years old and I have no of the other dying battery symptoms.

So I guess I'm wondering if this is a "feature" or a fault....

2019 DS. Terribly unreliable.
Sold DS for a 2021 Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV. Fingers crossed....
Sold Outlander for a 2014 SD4 SE Tech because I’m mental
Now greatly regret selling the Outlander. MPG of the FL2 is atrocious and so are the fuel bills. Fun though 😎
Couldn’t afford the fuel bills so back to an older Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV. Significantly better than I remembered it to be…
