We're having the pleasure of fitting a refurb. auto.box to our 2007 HSE
The garage will replace the glow plugs while "down there".

Are there anything else that should be done while the bonnet is up?

Thinking swirl-flap-horror

Can the manifold be replaced with a later non-swirl manifold?

Are you near a Cam Belt change ? If so that and a water pump.

Pretty sure others have got rid of swirl flaps / just removed them. There will be a thread on here somewhere. FL2 MY10 TD4 GS traded in at 2 years

Yes, had the 10y service done at LR dealer last year.
They did NOT replace the water pump though... and i only read about it here afterwards
