I agree it's impossible to do with the filter on the car. I bet garages/dealerships don't bother to do it even though it's part of the scheduled maintenance. Jules |

The stupid thing is it's meant to be done at A & B services but the filter is also supposed to be changed at the B service! Makes no sense to me. (Now Sold). 2008 Freelander 2 (Nazca Sand) SE TD4 Auto. Statutory write off & on WOVR for hail damage but still road legal.

The A&B Service sheet lists this under “Vehicle Exterior” rather than “Under Bonnet”, so I was assuming that there is an additional line-filter/sedimentor built into the fuel line, further back between the engine bay and the fuel tank...

Im sure the fuel filter is not specific to the FL2 and maybe in other vehicles it is more accessible for draining.
