United Kingdom 2013 Freelander 2 TD4 XS Manual Baltic Blue
Replacing rear view mirror

Facelift model 2013, originally had manual dim interior mirror, i am replacing it with a FL2 interior mirror with auto dim, i got the old one off okay, then found i have this module stuck to the windscreen with wiring connected to it.
Is it likely the connector for the auto dim mirror is in the headlining?
how do i get the centre light assembly out to look behind it?

Okay, i have found a switched 12v and ground i can pinch from the courtesy light, can anyone confirm which wire colour goes to which terminal in the plug on the mirror, i looked at the wiring diagram on here (for an 09 MY) and whilst it gives the colours of wires going to the plug, i don't have the plug and associated cable so can't determine which pin is which in the mirror socket.

In http://www.freel2.com/forum/topic11523.html, second page in the middle alex_pescaru writes:

Pin 1, white - switched 12V power
Pin 2, blue - reverse signal
Pin 3, black - ground (GND)
Pin 6, yellow - humidity sense.

But on your photo there is no blue wire but a gray one?

If I had to guess I would connect the switched 12v to the white wire and the ground to the black.
