Hi All,

I have the 2013 TD4 XS, according to Parkers guide, the XS came with electric front seats as standard however i have manual seats, are Parkers wrong or do I have a non standard car?

Hi Mark, Electric seats as standard on the XS were deleted when it got the 13 model year "upgrade" It became a cost option after that on the XS

I can confirm, no electric seats on 13MY XS  21MY Defender 90 S 3.0 D200

Pain in the but and something extra to go wrong. Had them on other cars thinking I was being the big daddy and find the standard mechanisms much quicker to deal with. As for memory, that goes out the window when you drop your car off anywhere like an airport park and ride. FL2 MY10 TD4 GS traded in at 2 years

Electric seats are handy I often in traffic retract mine right back to stretch the legs out. Especially if I've done leg day at the gym

Memory seats is an added bonus and no messing about adjusting it back and trying to find the correct setting.

Agree! Takes less than a second to move the seat, either direction. One less item to battery the battery in the outback, an even more critical issue these days with too many pointless battery draining electronics onboard!

Far more useful electrics under the seat!

Slightly off topic but I would never trust my car or keys to airport parking or any where else like that where someone else gets to drive my car. My wife has only driven my car on one occasion when her Juke snapped its timing belt (at 39000miles and full dealer history) and needed towed home. Aftera previous hairy experience when she tried to overtake me when I was towing her Now I always drive the disabled car anytime a tow is required. Have to say I was very impressed with how well the Freelander coped with a hill start in 3rd gear whilst towing the Juke! To be fair to the missus it was her first time driving the Freelander and there was a lot of gears to choose from.
