Well I have an audio recording of the 'wub wub wub' noise!

To be honest the clip sounds like a diesel engine ticking over but its not. The sound was recorded at 30 mph, it gets faster with speed and is coming from the back ( I took out the boot floor and folded the seat bases) here is the link

Def a bearing noise either wheel or diff . Allso check the prop shaft bearing just in case

Did you get any issues from traction control or ABS etc ?

I also have this wub wub noise and am thinking of running it on axle stands to try and diagnose wheel, diff or prop.... FL2 HSE Auto Galway Green

No fault messages nothing out of the ordinary. I am about to go put it on a two post lift tonight and see what happens. The audio recording does not do it justice.

My gut feeling this is a bearing as its cyclical repetitive and matches road speed. My experience of bearing failure so far has been a very different sound so maybe that's thrown me from the obvious.

Well

Not wheel bearings so the conclusion is that it is in fact the rear diff

I was expecting a whine but my friendly mechanic says bearing noise.

Looks like another one to add to the long list of other's owners vehicle failures for the same reason.

My options are limited now, if I pX it out for what and it will be devalued given the noise is pretty obvious.

Just repair it. like you say its been fault less its also going to work out cheaper as well buy the time you factor in the cost to change its going to be more than 1k

If you intend to sort out the diff talk to Bell Engineering.

No idea if WBAC road test cars. I know that they try and knock you down on appearance on any offer.

Fear not I will be getting it fixed. At the end of the day its a good car (I love my 110 more lol) and I will stick with it. I must be a bit mad this one was a replacement for a total fire loss (59 plate xs) and I could not bring myself to do anything else than replace it with another Fl2.

Frustrating yes but hopefully being fixed via Bell Engineering it will trundle along for another 80000 miles!
