so, i have just bought a freelander 2, before i picked it up it had a problem with the terrain response system, the dealers changed i don't know how many sensors on it until it was sorted, then i picked it up and took it home with no problem.

now though, only when i start it first thing in the morning, it comes up with a yellow warning light, yellow ABS light and says terrain response system faulty. but if i turn the engine off and straight back on again the lights turn off and it says terrain response system re-activated.

i have read through a lot of forums on here and could this be just a cold weather thing or something as simple as needing a new battery?

Yes thats true a new battery and the extra earth strap solves a lot of things like this.
