Not sure of the temp but mine don't get very hot either. Our XS FL2 is also the same. The D4s in our family have 3 bars and they are bloody toasty in comparison to the FL2 Thumbs Up MY14 Kahn Converted Dynamic - Fuji White Ebony/Pimento Interior

Mine get HOT on two bar setting, one bar is comfortable.
Obviously the colder to start off with the longer it will take to warm up, another thing to consider is your clothing, if it is cold and you wear thermal clothing it will tend to prevent heat from feeling apparent.

I've never seen any temperatures quoted, I wonder if there are any settings in the CCF? StuartC may know but he's lounged out in his budgie smugglers in Bali at present. Laughing

There will be a temperature sensor in the seat back (I know because the one in my DS was misplaced and sticking into my back). It's probably some cheap Chinese sensor that has variable quality and zero testing on fitting. The seats on my FL2 got hot in about 300 metres and were turned off after about 20 secs when they became uncomfortable. DS ones take quite a lot longer - maybe half a mile - but still get hot enough for me to turn them off almost immediately. Ex AA Series III LWB Safari - Gone
300TDi Disco (bought new - terrible car) sent back after 18 months
Freelander 1 Estate - leased, given back at end of lease
200TDi Disco (bought from a mate with 100,000 on the clock) - Gone
Disco 2 TD5 - sold and exported to France
FR2 TD4 GS - Gone
FR2 SD4 HSE - Now changed for a DS
New model ex-demo Evoque S 180 in white
Unable to order a new DS, so gave up. Now have a Volvo S90 Recharge.

Thermistor is in seat base pad.
There is two heat ranges in the CCF for both seat heat settings.
For some reason some L359 are set at the cooler range settings whilst the others are set at the warmer range, I have no information on why.
Mine are set at the "warmer" range and react like "Taz" explains, hot after about a minute and by a couple minutes have to drop to cooler setting which is comfortable for long term driving.
The temps are in the CCF so once I've unpacked, I'll have a look.
I would guess your "Seat Heat Calibration" in your vehicles CCF is set at the cooler range setting. MY15

Haven't a clue on the temperatures, Stuart will sort that.
But this morning at -2 it took 2 minutes and 1/2 mile before I could feel the warmth and from then on it got up to good and toasty on the 2nd setting, with me turning it to the 1st after 5 minutes.
Leather or what passes for leather is damn cold in winter and bum/leg burning in summer.

Toasty on 2 in about 2 mins, then comfy on 1. Much quicker & hotter than my early years D3 & RRS I recall. Thumbs Up FL2 Ex D2, D3, RRS, etc. now all gone.
