Strange fault on Start

morning all.

The other day I had a strange fault never seen it before. I started the car drove to my G/F's to pick her up. The car was faultless.

Went to go out about 15 mins after I had parked up, started the car as normal ( Auto box ) selected D released handbrake went to pull away and nothing then after a few seconds it tried to move but it was like it was fighting the brakes and no dreive / power then noticed " select Park or Neutral and press start " in think it was in the display.

I thought that was odd as it had started and the engine was running, Turned engine off left it a few seconds and it started and pulled away with out issues and has been fine since. Plugged elm327 in to check fault codes and there were none.

Anyone seen this before. HSE TD4 Stornoway Grey ★ Rear Spoiler ★ Black Leather Interior ★ Panoramic Roof ★ Navigation with Bluetooth ★ 19 " Alloys ★ Alpine Stereo 10 Disc Auto changer and Ipod connection and lots of other nice toys ★

Never seen those exact symptoms before but you do get some very odd things happen on start up especially if you are a bit quick and press start before the steering lock has fully cleared. I wouldn't worry about it, it will probably never happen again...hopefully!

@Greybeard

Your probably right, thinking about I dont think the car had finished doing its little pre check thing it does. I have found a few times if you do to much before its done it has a little cry about something. HSE TD4 Stornoway Grey ★ Rear Spoiler ★ Black Leather Interior ★ Panoramic Roof ★ Navigation with Bluetooth ★ 19 " Alloys ★ Alpine Stereo 10 Disc Auto changer and Ipod connection and lots of other nice toys ★
