"Large SUV"??

I see What Car have just announced the DS is now the UK's best Large SUV! Bit ambitious I think, just 'cos it has 7 seats! Shocked 10MY (Sept 09) TD4 HSE Auto in Stornoway Grey (Now Gone)

Wrong on so many counts - but the UK bit is right if you consider only assembly. Everyone can spread it - Anyone can catch it. Stay home - the life you save can be your own!

Best - doubtful
Large - no
Sport - no
Utility - no
vehicle - OK, give you that one.

Where do all the components come from these days? Everyone can spread it - Anyone can catch it. Stay home - the life you save can be your own!

Point taken.

You'd be surprised how much does come from the UK, the steel comes from the UK (for the minute), along with the seats and the dash, with the engines coming from Wolverhampton.

Unfortunately, a lot of the rest have been priced out of manufacturing in the UK.

They class a large SUV as being over 4.5 meters and with a roomy interior. 21MY Defender 90 S 3.0 D200

I've always been of the opinion that car journalists are clueless. It was confirmed in my eyes when Top Gear named the Fiat Multipla car of the year in 2000.

The DS is very spacious inside, almost same rear leg room as RRS. It's only the 3rd row seating that's pants. 21MY Defender 90 S 3.0 D200
