When my FL1 battery clamp bolt snapped off I was told that an insecure battery is an MOT failure. However in the case of the FL2 you would need to remove the cover to inspect it. Probably a good idea to fix it somehow though. 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto

Needs to be secure as you don't want the battery bouncing about with the potential comnsequences of a short across the terminals.

I was wondering that too my replacement heavy duty Duracell was a perfect fit. |

I was also wondering the same, I noticed the OP's one is a 85Ah 800A one, I replaced mine recently with a Yuasa one from my local ABS, it's a Yuasa 80Ah, 720A and it's a perfect fit. Edited to add; Yuasa part# of mine - YBX3110 |

Halfrauds are not known for their accuracy in supplying the correct parts. On quite a few occasions I've had the wrong parts recommended and supplied by them so I stick to the main LR dealer for parts for my F2 which I've had from new and never had any problems - in fact in respect of windscreen wipers it was cheaper at the main dealer and fitted free while I waited and had a coffee.

Halfords used to fit car bulbs for free. My daughter had a Renault Megane which had a particularly difficult headlamp bulb on one side so I took it in. It took two people about an hour to sort it and only then because one of the girls in the shop had really small hands. After that I noticed that they started charging. 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto

Trouble is if the car did go up in flames as soon as the insurance saw that they wouldn't pay out. |

Lol, when I had my battery fitted by Halfords, I had to show them how to remove these strips to make it fit! 2005 D3 2.7 Auto
