rear view mirror housing

my rear view mirror and the plastic housing from my FL2 has come off is there a knack to getting the housing back on i have got the rear view mirror on but not the housing Banging Head

Hi Houghta, just wondered if you found 'the knack' to get the mirror housing back on?

Took my car to a car wash today and noticed that I only had half the mirror housing attached and by the time they'd cleaned the inside of the car too, the other half had mysteriously found its way onto the passenger seat!!

Guessing I'm going to need to buy a replacement but just wondered how easy it is to fit?
