Has anyone been watching this on BBC? Brilliant just like all the other documentaries that Prof Brian Cox has done. I think he is excellent and explains things so that us mere mortals can understand things.

I have purchased the book that accompanies the series and have started reading it this afternoon. Annoyed that I have missed tickets to his live tour! Sold out everywhere or tickets being sold by people who don't want to go but want to make a big profit Rolling Eyes

I'll see if any tickets crop up on eBay closer to the time. LL.B (Hons) - University of Derby

Yes he is a good presenter but I find some of his explanations a bit laboured like the long piece about the effects of a hurricane which could have been shortened (yes the effects are devastating but do you really need to interview a surviving family for that long?) Even my non-scientist wife finds them a bit slow moving. I think the programmes are similar in style to Carl Sagan's in the 70's which were similarly inspiring and got me into physics. 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto

Agreed - this is a 30 minute programme padded out, at vast expense to the BBC licence-payer, with huge amounts of prettily-filmed guff to a 60-minute one! As with all BBC so-called science programmes, the actual science content is minimal - presumably to enable them to sell the series to the Americans.

Watched Cox's latest programme earlier this week. He raises some interesting points but I gave up after 20 mins as it was so slow moving. Yes we know that water is blue but you don't need to go diving in Iceland to show us. Just look at a glacier. 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto

My wife and I like his style very much. Thank goodness for the BBC iPlayer and VPN.
