Hi , do you have a price please for genuine towing mirrors for 2013 Freelander 2? I believe the part number is VPTLV0800?

Thanks.

You'd find these really hard to beat - been using the convex ones for years. They've got a really clear view, are easy and secure to attach and are BIG!

Definitely go for the Milenco ones! Secure to the mirrors easily and are far cheaper! 1998 300TDi Auto Disco, never to be forgotten.

This should be beared in mind when replying or send a PM Wink Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

Its okay I don't mind others giving me their opinion on Milenco.

However I should perhaps explain my request for a quote. It is precisely because I have been using Grand Aero's since they were launched . However since getting my Freelander and having towed twice with it I have found that the Grand's shake such that they are unusable ( I am fitting them to the top of the mirror housing using the V pads). Also last trip I forgot momentarily that they were still attached and now when locking my Freelander the nearside mirror groans and stutters as it folds so I wonder if I damaged the mechanism by having the mirrors still attached?

I would love to keep using the Grands but I was weighing up the cost of a change before they potentially do any more damage!!
If you know of any way I can get them to fit better I will gladly save myself the cost of replacements.

Nigel

I too have Milenco Grand Aeros with V Pads. I have done 3,000 miles to Spain & back, plus a recent holiday to the Scottish Highlands and never a problem with the mirrors. Possibly the best towing mirrors I have used. Do you have convex or flat glass? I ask as I could never get on with flat glass with other mirrors so have convex with these too. Cannot think of what the issue is.

Thanks for the comments regarding the Grand Aero's.

Beginning to think it is just the case that mine are perhaps worn out! As I mentioned earlier they are originals which I must have had for eight or nine years and they have been used very regularly in that time.

As Milenco's own website states they have updated these mirrors every year so perhaps I will just get a new set.

I must admit I did not realise Grand Aeros had been out for so long! Mine are about 3 years old. However, what is there to wear out? Either the mirror is rigid or it is not. As long as both the verticle and the horizontal pairs of clamps are tightened firm there should be minimal movement at the mirror. On mine I have put a slight curve on the arm to follow the car mirror body top trailing edge, just so the clamps are presented squarely to the car mirror body, that is all. I would have thought Milencos should last for years!
