Oil change

Just wondered, what's the longest time it has taken to do an oil change. I read all the " how to do it threads " so I started it 10 o'clock Sunday morning and finished it 6 o'clock Sunday night. I could not move the oil filter to start with, so I removed the rigid plastic pipe to give better access. I finally removed oil filter then couldn't get the plastic pipe back on. I have more marks, scratches, cuts on my arms from trying to get in between the radiator and the engine. Maybe next time I will just pay to have it done.

My mechanic has consistently moaned about the oil filter being in a diabolically hard to get at place. Better him than me doing the moaning. I usually have to wait most of the day for him to do it. Smile

I wish! Laughing

Don't know why it's gone, TBH

Still doing the mobile work, but cutting back a little after getting a new workshop. It's difficult to get out on the road when this is a typical day Thumbs Up

I've been a mechanic for over 40 years and I found it one of the hardest filters to change. Then I bit the bullet and bought that 27mm flexible ratchet spanner everyone was talking about and (once the lower engine cover is removed) it's a 5 minute job. A real piece of pish!
