When I pull away from traffic lights my 13reg GS loses power when changing from 1st to 2nd gear ,its been in to statstones. Three times for software dates to the eco stop /start not always. Restarting the car when you put it into gear ,any ideas on the proplem. Would be welcome

Sounds a bit like the hesitation problem but I thought that was only on 2011 models. Certainly these cars are susceptible to fuel filter problems and in my experience they don't always log fault codes. When was it last changed? 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto

You shouldnt need to put the car into gear to get the stop start to restart the engine, just pressing the clutch pedal should do it, and you say it only loses power from 1st and 2nd gear so its ok from there upwards, and coming back doing downward changes?
Could be an intermitant electrical issue I suppose, are the engine and body earth leads all clean and secure?

The fuel filter should have been changed in April as part of the service although I will check on that ,the eco stop /start would not restart the car by pressing the clucth pedal at all meaning I had to turn the car off and on again ,the two software updates its had at statstones was supposed to have fixed the eco stop/start proplem and the gear change so far all they have done is fix the eco so that works or as so far but not the proplem with the power proplem between 1st and 2nd which tas returned after 4 days of having the 2nd software update to fix it .

Can some point me as to were to look for the fuel filter please , just wondering if the filter was changed back in April if its under a wheel arch or some were hard to get at they might not have done it .

Thanks ,I will have a. Look at it the weekend and maybe change it . will the new filter self prime itself when starting the landy or is there a tool or pump I need ?

There is a definite procedure to go through, I haven't done one but there are instructions on the forum. If you don't do it right your car won't start. 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto

the thought of it not starting is something I don't want to even think about

mine does this when I'm about to run out of fuel - is this normal? It's like it goes into a self induced limp mode untill I fill her up...???

Yes, ive read it somewhere but cant remember where at this time. Its designed to do this as you can damage the CAT (not pussy) if you run out of fuel. MY15
