It has been said that the Ford Focus Cmax has the same light.

Yes, it uses the same central bulb. It also plugs in to the existing wiring.

beardrustler, agree with Bob, changed mine to three lamps as the MY14 XS has been downgraded to one, got one from fleabay from a Granada with the identical Pt No on it for about £14 inc delivery, and the connectors fit straight on.

Having seen the additional boot lights that people have put into the headlining I was going to see if was possible to put one of these in at the rear, so I would have three in total. The rear would obviously be wired to the boot light. Anyone see any issues, I haven't had a look yet as I only thought about it on the way home last night. |

RichP just got the light trim this morning from my dealers, still got the single light unit removed from the front when I changed it to a three light unit. I'm trying the mod as shown in the beginning of the topic linked above but I'm going to "try" to connect it in parallel to the rear seat overhead light behind the roof lining which will hopefully give a permanent live as well as the courtesy switches so that it can be switched on separately. Hey thanks both, I had a quick look and thought that the cross member was in the way, that is obviously not the case. Will be trying this when I get some spare time |

I did say "try", hole is cut, had to trim the inner corners of the mounting bit rear securing lugs that are pushed into place over the edges of the hole when you offer up the light fitting as they fouled on the headlining clip. I've borrowed my neighbours cable threading rods (he's a sparky) will let you know how i get on. MY14 TD4 manual XS Orkney grey.
