Scotland 2013 Freelander 2 SD4 GS Auto Fuji White
2013/14 MY with HB3 bulbs

My 08 FL2 had H7 bulbs for main beam and dip, these were acceptable.
My 10 FL2 had projector headlamps with H7 and H11 for main, they were terrible till I fitted uprated bulbs
My new 14my has a single healamp using HB3 bulb abd dips by tilting relector so onle 1 filament for dip and main beam.
What are your opinions of these lamps. I do not wish to fit HID conversions.
Has anyone fitted upgraded bulbs? All FL2's (3) Gone
2011 Mercedes C180 CGI Gone
FL2 GS Auto SD with heated leather, factory tints, alloy spare and a few other bits.

While investigating my lighting for driving abroad a friend of mine put the car on his beam tester and although only 2 months old at the time I was being flashed by oncoming cars, apparently my lighting was way too high and to the right so it was no wonder that I seemed to have a dark void in front of me. I had fitted the Osram nightbreaker unlimited to mine and the difference was not noticeable until he had re-adjusted the beams, now it is quite good.

I thought how can one lamp be as efficient as two but in fact the dipped part has been improved by the small changes to the lens/reflector to accommodate the single lamp and shutter, much better at lighting the kerb now. So yes, the uprated lamps do make a difference in as much as the lighting is quite acceptable now..

United Kingdom 2014 Freelander 2 TD4 XS Manual Orkney Grey

Fitted Nightbreakers to mine as I thought they lacked a bit, much better now. On my recent LR new owner survey I said that sacrificing the other bulb for DRLs was a bad move. I'd had uprated both in my MY11. Oh for the 100/80 H4s in my Disco 2 Shocked MY14 TD4 manual XS Orkney grey.
