I tried changing my front side lights with LED bulbs, but once turned on they flash slightly rather than a constant light. I am guessing it might have to do with the different voltages?

you need a resistor in the circuit

You could try these... They work as they are (they already have a small circuit that deals with the voltages etc)

I got few PMs regarding LED front side lights. Looks like quite a few like to put a LED but put off by the fact that you have to fit a resistor which means with modifying the wiring. LEDs with built in resistors don't look the same as the other ones. (normal 5 SMD LED 501 type bulbs)

I spent my whole career in vehicle electrical design. VM's have to meet a whole host of ISO standard requirements, the volt drop at the terminals and the design of the reflector are all designed to meet pre-determined lux requirements with the standard incandescent filament.

Hello Guys, I am having a problem with my Side Lights on my 2007 Freelander 2 HSE. This problem has been reported on the forum twice before, but I can’t see that any one has been able to offer a solution.
