Hi all,

Well just picked up my freelander today. He's a 14 plate gs in firenze red. Only done 20 miles or so in him so far but very much enjoying him!

I've gone from an impreza so a slight change in style and will need to get used to the less power but I think the rest of the driving experience makes up for that. Its a very nice place to be!

Anything I need to know?

I'm from a car forum culture - do you guys ever have meet ups?

I went from the Subaru Impreza (2000MY) which I had owned for 12 years from new, to my Freelander HSE Auto and I was concerned that I would miss the performance and handling.

In fact I have simply adjusted my driving style to suit and am loving wafting along on a wave of torque rather than the top-end rush of the Impreza's turbo.

We went from a 2001 FL1 to a new Bugeye in 2003 and then a year later went back to FL1 and this week upgraded to a 2014 GS after 4 other Freelanders over the yrs .

Quick tip - Rotate the use of your key fobs every month. You can't replace the battery and using them will maintain their charge.

Well I haven't missed the impreza yet having covered around 100 miles so far! - Actually only once when an audi (as usual) was up my chuff - normally i would have been childish and booted it but instead i made him wait!

The new keys don't dock so they don't need charging

Nice colour, amazing how owning/driving a Land Rover almost instantly changes your attitude on the road, talking from experience also.
