United Kingdom 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 GS Manual Zermatt Silver
New engine required?

Plastic flaps sucked into engine been told engine required anyone else experienced similar problem? Only 80,000 miles 6 years old.

I think your right.
The earlier FL2's have the plastic swirl flaps, I think. Inc my FL2. Not that I'm an expert on swirl flaps, it's my first d. Landy has now gone.

Yep def a problem on the BMW 320d around 2001 - 2006 which is why mine are sitting on my garage shelf although when I did take them out at 122K one was broken and stuck in the manifold crap and, luckily, had not been ingested ! I did not realise that this was a potential problem on the FL2 though ! FL2 HSE Auto Galway Green
Evoque SD4 Auto Blue.
FL1 HSE TD4 Manual Black - Gone.
RR Classic V8 EFI - Gone

I think I'd rather do without the swirls flaps, small but expensive chance of them breaking. Landy has now gone.
