Microsoft Surface Pro

Bought a 128GB Surface Pro from MS.

Moving from trad Win7 laptop to a touch-based Win8 is quite a shift and feels alien to start. In the 3 weeks since, i've got well used to it. I love the 5 second bootup time, the 2 second shutdown and the very fast app startup.

I find i need an external bluetooth mouse (MS Wedge is nice) to navigate small items on screen but with that it's a great overall experience.

Oh, and the screen is fabulous. My bro in law, who's an apple fanboi, was mightily impressed.

Surface build qual is excellent.

Win8 has gotten a lot of flak but i think it's good. Win8.1 comes soon and promises enhancements. ...

Be true to yourself. That way happiness lies...

I use Win 8 on a new Dell XPS but without touch, I hate finger marks on the screen, W8 flies and with SSD boot times are fantastic, took a little getting used too at first but with a gesture trackpad in use rather than touch screen it works very well, very happy with it.
The XPS is a 13" full HD screen, very bright and outshines the Mac air models at present which I nearly plumped for.
