2013 LR2 TD4 HSE Manual Fuji White
OE Tyres

Just had a quick question and guessed this would be the place to ask.

I wondered what the standard tyres that came with the LR2 were. I believe mine were Conti 4x4s, but have seen some with Goodyear Wranglers, and my spare has a Goodyear tyre on it. Wheels are the standard 17 inch 5 spoke split spoke wheels.
I can only assume the tyres varied car to car? And that all the spares have Goodyears on?
(I know on the Aygo/C1/107s some came with Contis and some with Michelins so this would make sense)

Wondered if anyone could confirm.

England 2011 Freelander 2 TD4 XS Manual Baltic Blue

Both my 2007 SE and 2011 XS came with 235/65/17 Continental 4x4 Contacts.
The 2007 SE had a Goodyear Wrangler spare on a steel rim, the 2011 XS came with a Continental 4x4 Contact on an alloy rim (paid extra to get a proper spare).

LR also fit Pirelli and Michelin.

Think it is down to which tyre manufacturer is offering the best deal at the time.

Okay, thanks for the replies.

It does just seem like they put on the tyres from whatever company gave them the best deal as the time as Richard(?) suggested.

I just noticed when I was in the market for some new tyres/wheels.
Got 4 practically new, immaculate wheels and tyres for a great price.
Even if the old wheels (also immaculate (I think)) sell for peanuts, I'm still very pleased with the deal.
Chuffed would be an apt description.

I don't know if any of you do this, but there are so many dealers out there selling wheels and tyres people have instantly swapped off their LR or RR going for a fraction of their "new" price, instead of getting tyres just buy new wheels... Laughing
Admittedly they're generally the less flashy, smaller alloys but still...
