It will be 3 weeks on Saturday since I picked my new car up and at the time of doing the paperwork at the dealer, the V5 was sent away by the dealer along with a copy of the tax disc to ensure that my private plate could be put on a retention certificate.

Hi Doc, tax refund normally very quick, with 2 weeks when I had the car nicked last, but I did the paperwork myself. The retention of a private plate, I've always done face to face with the local DVLC office and they have been first class with advice and service 2009 GS Auto Zermatt Silver - Sold June 21 after 10 years of ownership

Ok chaps, thanks. I will leave it until early next week then telephone the local office and get them to run a check on their systems to see whats occurring.

Do not forget with 2 x bank holidays in between they maybe behind a little.

I think DVLA are pretty quick these days. Can't always say the same for the bods in the car dealer's office though. 2013 RR Evoque Pure Tech

Hi Doc, I have only just got mine back today for my owen car .I sent it away on the 15th March...not as good as i thought its had a month removed ..they round it up in there favour... Iain |
