The same thing happened to a friend of mine when he picked up his brand new van ,it was the first time he had ever towed a van, fortunately it didn't put him off. |

Fortunately it didnt put him off! What a great shame. still pining for my 3dr, no removeable hardtop, no drop glass tailgate, no roof rack, no pockets everywhere to stow all that man kit |

I hope there was not too much damage to the van. My dealer has always checks the torque of the wheel nuts in front of you before you take the van away. They did when we collected when new and when collecting after a service.

Thanks everyone for the comments. The good news is the service dealer has been out to see the van today and there isn't much damage. He is going to fix it obviously at no charge. However there is something to remember from this incident and that is- CHECK YOUR NUTS OFTEN.

The day I check my caravans nuts is the day I drive it and myself off a cliff ! At work ![]() At home ![]() "I can't always believe facts I read on the web" - Charles Dickens winner by default of the tractor vs caravan race |

Further to previous, When i purchased a new 'Leisure' battery for my caravan, the shop assistant informed me that the battery would need to be charged over 14 hours, as it only holds a nominal amount and it is "surprising how many customers return to say it is a faulty battery when it needed to be charged". Well, I did not know and took this advice and put it on charge using my car battery charger several hours later - surprise, did not take a charge. I thought this as strange and cannot be another dud battery! I sought info on 'leisure' batteries on the internet and...behold, a different charger is required! |
