Sticky wing mirror

Hi all
The passengers wing mirror is sticky on our freelancer 2, when you lock and unlock the car the passengers wing mirror sticks, the drivers one has also become very slow,k any advice what to sort or replace?

Silicon Spray will resolve this issue.

The spray will help for a while but i've found once they start like this they are on the way out,moving the mirror completely foreward then right back in to the park position a few times may help too.

I had problems with a judder on one mirror gave it a good spray with oil that had ptfe in it and its been fine for well over a year now.

Ditto...... Sprayed once in two years & 35k of driving.

I suppose it may come down to how well you spray the mechanism the first time.

Sprayed mine just one in three years with a very well known furniture polish Thumbs Up Another member of the failed FL2 clutch/DMF club, twice.

Banter disclaimer
Silicon spray, manually, using force, push the mirror back and forth all will be well for those with humour bypass issues.

No tools needed, forcefully push the whole mirror housing forward, you will hear a loud click, this is normal, clean the sliding surfaces and liberally apply silicon spray, push the mirror housing all the way to he opposite end of travel and repeat, make sure it's clean, grit and cack won't help, spray with a clean coat of silicon and perform the mirrors in/out procedure with the buttons, this will lubricate and reset the mechanism Thumbs Up
Leap of faith pushing the mirror forward but it will be fine.

Yes it does seem strange to "bend" the mirrors forward but mine went without a fight! John
