If you do fit additional lighting don't forget to inform your insurance company of the modification.

At the traffic lights lol When I die, I want to go peacefully like my Grandfather did, in his sleep -- not screaming, like the passengers in his car |

Maybe you can improve your current headlamps? There are lots of ways to do it. VM's spend a lot of development getting the beam/reflector right. Seems a shame not to best use of it by adding some bits not part of the homologation. ![]() |

i dont want to start messing with the current lights ie. opening up the light etc, i'd rather just wire some up When I die, I want to go peacefully like my Grandfather did, in his sleep -- not screaming, like the passengers in his car |

Hi all, first post but this is something that interests me, as despite doing the upgraded good quality lamps find that the dip is OK, but the main beam needs a little more.

i don't think it would be strong enough i'm thinking about mounting an led bar behind the lower black grill as it looks quite thick down there, many people put them behind grills anyway, however my last resort is to fit an led bar to a cross bar on the roof |

Old thread I know, but, Chris did you ever get any further with the lower grille option? There's a sponsor over on the d3 forum that does Cree LED bars. My only other option is to go the retrofit fog light route.
