Air Con Pump

Had the air con pump seize yesterday and snapped drive belt!
Towed home by RAC.
Anyone got an idea of what a repair will cost - sounds expensive to me Big Cry [/i] Tattoos - Why would you choose to look like the wall of a public toilet?

Oh dear. I assume you mean the compressor.
Yep, they are expensive, I had one replaced, over 300 quid for the part alone plus 200 quid for fitting.
Even though I was out of warranty, I spoke to LR customer service who donated 33% towards the bill. Another member of the failed FL2 clutch/DMF club, twice.

Now awaiting a repair on the air con compressor - replacement is on minimum 10 day back order with LR and no one has one in stock. That 10 days could easily go out another 10 apparently.
Interested to hear of the contribution by LR, how long out of warranty was your motor and did you have the part replaced by a main dealer? Mine is an 07 so about 18 months over the 3 year warranty period. Tattoos - Why would you choose to look like the wall of a public toilet?

Mine is an 08 and was around 8 months out of warranty.
Fortunately, The car had always been main dealer serviced, otherwise I'd have got nowt.

Still worth a try, if you don't ask, you don't get. My dealer didn't want to know, so i rang LR customer service myself and they sorted it quite quickly Thumbs Up .

Good luck. Another member of the failed FL2 clutch/DMF club, twice.
