United Kingdom 2011 Freelander 2 SD4 HSE Auto Lago Grey

Quick update.

Fitted the 754/1443 combination today and no problems at all with the panoramic roof.

After weighing the bike carriers and bikes I have decided to put only three on the roof rack as a fourth carrier & bike would take the total weight above the 53Kg max load Sad
Bike No 4 will have to travel inside the caravan.

Even with the bike carrier brackets in place, there is clearance for the tilt & slide panoramic roof and the roof structure looks plenty strong enough to take the roof bar fittings.

Once again, thanks to all who replied.

All was well with first trip out. 160 mile round trip including some 60mph stretches with three bikes up top.
No problems at all with the 743/1443 roofrack and panoramic roof.
Very impressed with the fitting design as it has made no marks at all on the vehicle, other than compressing the outer door seals slightly which I suspect will return to their correct shape after a day or so.

And at no time did any of the bikes, or the roofrack overtake me Thumbs Up Even with an emergency stop thanks to some old bloke who pulled across the road into a cafe entrance and then realised the gates were closed as he stopped dead on my side of the road. Should have realised trouble ahead when I spotted his hat Laughing The FL2 was very well behaved and brought itself and the fully loaded caravan to a stop without any drama. Good job the 18 tonner behind us was on the ball as well.
