If you have CCP credit card insurance it should cover lost keys. Household insurance may do same. |

I PIGGY-BACKED MY NEW NON RECHARGABLE BATTERY ON TOP OF THE OLD ONE AS I was afraid of losing the stored info. On the old units I believe you only have about half a minute to change over and the soldering needs to be done with great care or the circuit can get fried (is the new rechargable battery dealer suppied or own source?) Offset your Carbon emissions by boycotting Baked Beans and all Green Vegitables. |

fob doesn't lose any info when not on battery as it is one-time programed which is why 2nd hand is no good!!!!

Just thought I would remind anybody that has a dead keyfob that you can change the battery in them. Just carefully split open the casing and de-solder the battery terminal, fit new battery and re-slder connection then you might have to superglue the casing back together. Done mine in April and still going strong. |

Anyone worked out if its possible to successfully charge the spare fob by another means rather than swapping every month or so? |

Hi, just out of curiosity, does anybody know how long does it take to recharge a key fob from almost flat?
