@shilen - nothing to be embarrassed about having an evoque I sold the Fl2 and have had my evoque for 2 weeks. Fantastic car looks smaller than it actually is, a bit less room inside than the freelander. As with you I was also disappointed with 11my interior updates or lack off, originally put deposit down for an evoque but changed to 11my Fl2 but after a year with the freelander and the publicity campaign for the new evoque to tempting I bit the bullet and after a 6 month wait here it is.
