Would you buy a FL2 (LR2)?

Some newer forum members or vistors look on this forum to get an idea how good (or bad) the FL2 (LR2) actually is. Some have been worried that the car may be unreliable because of all the problems aired here. However many of us in fact really rate the car, including it's reliability. Thumbs Up

So ....... to make that message very clear I thought I'd add this poll ........ please vote just as you feel, assuming your needs remain similar.

P.S. Maybe don't vote if you've just split up with your partner and are sharing out the spoils etc. : Rolling Eyes Life is not a dress rehearsal!

I just did it!
It took me two months and many hours reading through freelander forums to decide... on what day I would sign the contract. Deciding on the car took me only a few hours after having read a review of the Freelander 2. But I must admit a drove a Freelander 1 for 1000 miles during my holidays.
Do you know why I didn't get one earlier? Because my garage is too low. Rolling with laughter
Perhaps I should find another house? Mr. Green

A probably would from me, and that only because the boot is a tiny little bit smaller than i prefer once i have the pram, and the youngsters day bag in not much room left

Everything else is a superb car, so no regrets at all Thumbs Up Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

any more votes

I hope you don't mind me bringing this poll back to the top of the pile again. It's a few weeks since I originally posted it and maybe there are a few newer forum members who would now like to add their votes. The results are primarily for new vistors to the forum, who may be considering purchasing a FL2.

N.B. Please do not vote more than once each! thx Smile

I am coming from BMW X3 which I changed against the FL2 due to the lousy suspension of the X3, and I did not regret this decision any minute, even though I had at first some objections due to the than unknown reliability of the new Freely 2. But everything turned out to be fine and smooth. One criticism though, the long distance to the next LR dealer (or workshop) here in Germany is a nuisance.

But thats all so far.

3 weeks in and I'm happy with our decision. The Mrs still grins every time she goes out in it, which is worth alot in itself. OK, practicality wise, it's probably not quite as good as the jeep (less boot space, no low range and reduced towing capcilty) but it's in a different league to drive and practicality wise it still does all that is asked of it.
Not really long enough to judge reliability but thus far no issues. 07 Freelander 2 TD4SE Tambora Flame, side steps, privacy glass, mud flaps, boot liner and a tow bar. Ok it's the Wifes but she lets me drive it occasionally - if I've been good!

What a silly question! OF COURSE I would buy the FL2 again. Have soon had it for a month now, and there are some minor faults with the wipers, and a few other minor things. But would that keep me from buying it again? Definitely NOT!

It is a beautiful car. If you are concidering whether to buy FL2 or not: Please do yourself a favour and do not waste more time. Run to the shop and sign the contract. The sooner you do so, the sooner you can admire your own FL2 in your own back yard. Cool 2008 Freelander 2 HSE TD4 Automatic, Caspian Blue, Alpaca, Moon roof, Exclusive pack.
