You could, if you so wished do it yourself. most trim is kept in place with plastic pins, just a matter of relocating them.

Nice colour Stooby, good to see another with taste........I am reluctant to remove trim in the knowledge that 'plastic pegs' will break, I will not have replacements and on refitting the trim will be loose.....Sods law! Upgraded to an ex demo, 7 mth old, Rimini Red/Ebony Napoli Auto HSE on 28th Jan 2011, added roof rails, mudflaps and side strips.

So does mine! Had it replaced once and glued once, still no joy, still pops off regularly. Rubbish design and finish in my opinion. They are going to have another 'go' at fixing in the near future. Also, the door this is a problem on had a badly fitted door card so suggest you check yours. I did pull the window trim off a bit and it looks like it is held in purely by the powers of friction against the rubber door seal. Still, I do really like the car and surprisingly for me can forgive it these few foibles. |

Julytourist - Indeed, I can see me making a pig's ear of it if I tackle it myself. Thank goodness for the warranty.

Quite right - I've had this row with my local dealer and LRCS and got no where. They arn't outstanding either, so huess what, they get rated at what they are - POOR! |

I concur Dunroof - so far the Swiss lot including the importer show little signs of truly caring about customer satisfaction. They talk the talk very proficiently - unfortunately their execution of the detail in the workshop and boardroom is maladroit. |

It's highly unlikely that the 2WD car is ever going to appeal to anyone on here. It's intended to bring new people to the brand; so they'll still get most of the good bits about the Freelander, with less company car tax, lower fuel consumption (marginally) and yet still have more off road capability than many prospective users will ever need. |
